About House Style

How Our Plans Are Organized

Our plans are organized first by a Main Category (American, British, French, etc), and secondly by a Sub Style (Cape Code, Acadian, etc).
You may use the filter tools on the Plan Search Page to narrow down your selections based on your preferred home style. Take note, that most plans can be modified to that

The Victorian style can broadly include various styles (Queen Anne, Second Empire, Gothic Revival, etc.) but generally features ornate trim, asymmetrical floor plans, and decorative flourishes. Colorful exteriors and elaborate porches are common signatures.

Spanning roughly 1837–1901 (Queen Victoria’s reign), the era saw rapid industrial growth, allowing for new materials and manufacturing methods. Middle- and upper-class homeowners often embraced ornate designs to showcase wealth and taste. Today, these distinctive houses remain symbols of a richly detailed architectural legacy.
